Welcome to F Gaukroger & Sons
The original Frank Gaukroger came to Tingha, near Inverell, in 1910 as a Boiler Inspector and Mining Engineer. He was sent there to oversee the building of the first tin dredges in the Tingha area which was experiencing a mining boom and had a population of 10,000 people.
Frank Gaukroger opened his engineering workshop and started servicing mining equipment as well as motor vehicles. As time went on, he started selling new motor vehicles sourced from importers in Sydney. A tradition that four generations of the Gaukroger family were part of.
F Gaukroger & Sons celebrated 94 years as a General Motors Dealer before Holden ceased operations in 2020. They remain the oldest continually family owned and operated NRMA Motoring Country Service Centre in Australia. Mark Palmer and Braith Gartshore, proprietors of F Gaukroger & Sons, together with their friendly, professional team of more than 36 are the proud custodians of the Nissan, Mazda, Hyundai and Isuzu UTE brands in Inverell will ensure that your every motoring need is fulfilled.

Absolute legends! Had our car break down an hour out of Inverell had a tow truck deliver our car here late in the arvo, went in first thing the next morning and they managed to squeeze our car into their schedule and get us back on the road with the next few hours. Staff are lovely, very supportive and fair prices. Very very pleased with the service provided!

D-Max went into limp mode while towing from Coffs Harbour 80 K from Inverell. Tony from Inverell Isuzu squeezed our vehicle in. Diagnosed faulty turbo and replaced turbo in three days under extended warranty. Big ticks to Tony, Stacey and workshop crew for getting us back on the road. Great friendly service.
